Mabel Farr

Obituary of Mabel Jean Farr

FARR, M. Jean (Campbell) 103 years. Peacefully at Royal Oak LTC on April 29, 2020. Formerly of St. Thomas and London. Beloved wife of the late Bernard "Bernie" Farr (1993) for 53 years. Predeceased by parents Albert and Alice Campbell and brothers Claude (Margaret), Kenneth (Hazel) and Murray (Roberta) and by sister-in-law Gertrude (Clarence) Bolt. Loving aunt of many including Donna, Dave and Stephen Heimann, Harrow, with whom she lived for many years. Aunt Jean lived a long, happy life with Uncle Bernie and together they enjoyed numerous trips to Florida, as well as Hawaii, the west, an Alaskan cruise, and Jean's favourite—a month long trip to England and Scotland to visit Ken and Hazel. Jean was a generous soul who was proud of her Scottish heritage and her Anglican faith. She was devoted to her church, where she volunteered countless hours. She welcomed guests to her home and loved to cook, bake and care for her family and friends. A graveside service was held at Elmdale Memorial Park in St. Thomas on May 1, 2020. As Jean thoroughly enjoyed the many recreational activities offered in her Royal Oak home, the arts and crafts, live music, baking, canning, arranging and planting flowers, memorial donations may be directed to Chartwell Royal Oak LTC, Kingsville, with cheques payable to the Resident Activity Fund. You may send your online condolences to www.geraldasmith.ca Arrangements entrusted to Gerald A. Smith Funeral Home Harrow.
