Mark and Ashlee,
My kids were aware that Theo had been ill for some time. When I let them know that he was in heaven, my daughters eyes widened, and she was quiet for a bit. She then asked me if Theo's parents were sad. Yes, I told her, Theo's mom and dad are very sad. She then asked if they will ever forget Theo. Never was my answer. She also let me know that up in heaven Theodore could run and play and have no more pain, and he will always be in his parents hearts. I hope that your family takes some small comfort in knowing that Theodore is free of pain, and running and playing heaven. Theodore journey has touched many hearts and showed us how precious life is,how to love fully each and everyday, and enjoy the small miracles. Our family is sending your our positive thoughts and prayers to get through this most difficult time.

Ashlee and Mark,
My deepest condolences to the both of you and your entire family. My heart aches so deeply for your loss and although I never met you or your precious little boy, I have been profoundly touched by little Theodore's heroic battle with his sudden illness. In moments like this, it must be nearly impossible to see the light, have faith or have any hope. But my greatest wish for you is to one day find meaning in all of this, find peace, feel pure and utter joy again. In the meantime, know that your little boy is finally at peace, and in no pain and will be with you every day in spirit. Even in his very short life, he felt more love than many children do because of the two of you.
