HERNIMAN, Robert Bruce "Wally"

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert Herniman, age 74, on Monday, September 28. Predeceased by his beautiful wife, Kathi (Crews) in 2012, after 43 years of marriage. Adored father of Pamela (Ryan) Luvisotto and Jim Herniman (Jessica). Cherished grandfather of Lauren, Jack and Kylee. Lovingly remembered by his dear friend Barb Pye. Remembered fondly by his sisters-in-law Lois, Lucy, and Sue, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by his brothers, Richard (2020) and Ronald (1985), and his brother-in-law Jim Crews (2013). Robert was the owner/operator of the Harrow Feed Store, retiring after almost four decades of service and hard work. Robert also served as a councillor for the Town of Harrow for 9 years. Without question, what Robert valued most was his family, and his friends that became family. Robert wore his heart on his sleeve, and there was never a moment of doubt in your mind that you were loved by him beyond measure. And for that, he was loved immeasurably in return. After Kathi became ill, Robert dedicated his life to taking care of her and making sure that she was able to live her remaining years with dignity. Their love, and his devotion to her, was nothing short of awe inspiring and will always be our favourite love story. After Kathi's passing, Robert was able to find happiness and companionship with Barb, and joy in his grandchildren. He loved his grandchildren fiercely, and they are all crushed by the loss of their "Big Grandpa". Robert will forever be remembered as a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend, who had a generous nature and wonderful sense of humour. He was loved, respected and admired by many. He will be forever in our hearts. A private family visitation and funeral service were held at Gerald A. Smith Funeral Home 197 King St. W. Harrow.
