Harold was a wonderful mentor and I learned so much from him. He gave me a chance when others did not and I am very grateful for that. I saw Harold at his best at a party, making sure everyone was having a good time. My advice to him on those busy flower days was, Don't sleep too fast!"
Sleep well now Harold.

Dear Patricia, Susan, Todd and family;
Our condolences on the loss of Harold. Our Christ Church Colchester Chapel connection goes back close to 50 years when I was still a teenager. He and Isabel were a handsome and beautiful couple together, great example and an inspiration.
Harold once asked me why I was up so early after a Saturday night to go to a Church service. My response was easy, "so I could spend the rest of the day on the boat".
Years later when we rejoined the summer congregation it was great to renew the previous connection.
'Summer residents and non-locals', we shared something in common, the magic of the moment, the magic of the cottage.
Gone and never forgotten, take heart that they are together again.
Randy, Suzanne Cyr and family.

Harold and Is always opened their hearts to David and me with genuine friendship and kindness, We had many spirited games of dominoes at Ratherbe and I was amazed at Harold’s cunning strategy.
I send my sincerest condolences to his family and I will place flowers at David’s gravesite to honour both of these wonderful men.

Todd, Michelle and Family,
i was saddened to read of Harold's passing. While we consider ninety three as a fine old age, it doesn't diminish the loss I know you are feeling right now. It's never easy to lose someone who has played such a significant part in your life, both as a parent and as a business partner. My thoughts are with you and your extended family in the difficult days ahead.
