We are so sorry to hear of your mother’s passing. She was a wonderful teaching partner to me and a very good friend. I admired her for her kindness and generosity. She was an in inspiration for her students and was a force of nature with such admirable qualities. We will miss her.

Your mother was a great example to us all. She kept so busy with her musical pursuits right into her nineties. I’m sure she missed gathering with her friends for practices and socializing. It seemed she had a smile for everyone she met and an optimistic outlook to go with it. It was a pleasure visiting her and hearing the stories of her pioneer days of teaching. You will miss her but the memories you made will linger forever.

I sang with Etna, who was a long time valued member of the Heart of Essex Sweet Adelines. She would grace us with her voice, as well as many memorable stories of her very interesting life. She was a real trooper, and we'll miss her dearly. Sympathies to her family and friends. Joyce Clarke

Mrs. Stefani was a cheerful energetic teacher. I could not have had a better start at school than I had in grade one with her. She even pulled out my first loose tooth for me! We were honoured to have her attend our 25th wedding anniversary party forty-one years later. I will never forget her. I am sorry for your loss.

How can anyone forget Mrs. Stefani. She taught me music at Harrow Public School. I always remember the song with Funicu Li Funicu La. She sang it with such gusto that it made us want to sing too. She will be missed and my sincerest sympathy to Ron and the rest of the family.

Mrs. Stefani, who taught me in Grade 2, was dear to me all of her life so when my granddaughter was in Grade 2, I took her to meet Mrs. Stefani who showed the same interest in her as she had in her students. Before adults rode bikes around, occasionally Mrs. Stefani would ride a bike to school. Whether intentional or not, that set the example that we should be individuals. She will always be remembered.
