We were the same age and grew up a half block away on King Street, so Richard and I were best pals early on. Spent a lot of time at the Smith home and have many fond memories of Richard, his parents and siblings. Hadn't seen him in over forty years, but he called me last year and we had a great time getting caught up.
So sad to hear of his passing. My condolences to the Smith family. Rest in peace old buddy.

I am so sad that Richard has passed away. He was a special cousin to me and a special nephew to my Mom,his Aunt Catherine. I enjoyed his phone calls over the last couple of years and especially since last November after Dick passed away and he would call more often to see how I was doing. Richard took his Aunt Catherine out for many drives around the county and out for supper. He would also take her out to see the Christmas lights around different towns. Mom enjoyed his many phone calls to her at home and after she moved to the nursing home.
My heartfelt sympathy to everyone as we all miss and remember Richard.

It was always such a pleasure to see Richard at different family functions throughout the years. I am attaching a happy photo of Richard and his cousin Cheryl Crackel at one of the Neice reunions in Harrow. Richard will be missed by many. My deepest sympathies to his family and friends.

Richard was a good friend. We talked every week since he closed the funeral homes. I worked with him right up to the end as did my wife. She said that he was the best boss that she ever worked for. I will miss him and our conversations. He was a friend that I will never forget. My sincere sympathy to the Smith family and his children.
