What a loss in our community. John was such an awesome person. Always kind, compassionate, and a real family man. I always enjoyed our conversations together while attending Christ Church. He and Donna were one of a kind, and I will cherish the Christmas ornament that they gave me a few years back forever. Your family is beautiful and strong. Rest well thy faithful servants.

To the family of John Boulton, please accept my condolences on the loss John. He was a fine man, a good Farm Manager at the Harrow Research Station, and a great help to me in providing the labour resources I needed for my work with tree fruits. He was a good supervisor of the farm crew, treated everyone fairly and respectfully, did a good job of juggling the demands of the scientists, and was well liked and respected by all. John was the most pleasant neighbour when we lived at the lake. Bill and I enjoyed our visits we had often on our walks.
After our spouses passes, he would occasionally call, just to see how I was doing.
He was so proud of each and everyone on you. He loved you

Dear Rick, Roxanne and family;
Our deepest condolences on the passing of John, truly a gentleman, Church man and friend for many years. I don't think I've ever attended an event of any kind at Christ Church that he wasn't at....and not just worship.
I'll always hold that image of the time Mr. Martin and I painted the Church steeple and seeing John, Lyle Clark and my dad as 'ground crew'. Every so often we'd come back down (in case there were any volunteer replacements) and John would laugh and say no, just making sure you didn't miss a spot and save you from going back. Always thinking about 'the other guy'.
I have fond memories of him and 'the one and only love of his life', one well-lived and well-loved, no doubt in great company now, gone, not forgotten.

When I got the news, I remember how John and Donna were so open to us,new immigrants in Harrow way back in 1965; Soon we knew more people and Donna and I were involved in VBS in summer or in Children's Festivals. John was always supportive. .He did so much around the Church. He was a craftsman with wood and a good farmer as well as a kind friend. As Margaret Newman said, he was faithful and always attended church. He was a real example of God's caring love, especially for all children.
His lovely genuine smile said so much to us all when we met or when we saw him encourage children to enjoy fishing with him or look around at what he made.
Well done, thou good and faithful servant. I am sure Shelly and her brothers Rick Michael and David will miss him so much but have such good memories of a loving father and his grandchildren can hold onto the love, he shared so well with them.
My sincere sympathy and blessings, as you remember what good times you enjoyed together.

Back about 1955 John worked for one winter at my father's (Carl Smith ) sawmill on 18 Highway west of Arner near Cedar Creek . I got to know him then and whenever we ran into each other down through the years we always reminisced about those days .The mill closed in 1963 and John was one of the last few left who worked there .
