TROMBLEY, C. Ralph 79 Years. Passed November 24, 2014. Beloved husband of the late Monica (Deslippe) (2007). Cherished Dad of Colleen (Marc) VanHoogstraat and the late James (1969). Adoring, silly grandpa of Jacqueline and Braeden. Dear brother of Clayton Trombley and Marilyn (John) Upper. Much loved Uncle. Loyal friend and neighbour. His rich career history includes: Recreation & Athletic Specialist with the Royal Canadian Air Force; served with the United Nations Peace Keeping Forces in El Arish Egypt during Suez Canal crisis; teacher for Dept. of National Defense, Prince Edward Collegiate in Picton, and Harrow District High School; Chairman of Physical Education Dept. at Harrow High; President Essex County Secondary Schools Athletic Assoc; Director Harrow Parks & Rec. and Manager Harrow Arena; Founder and President of Harrow Sailors Hockey Club; General Manager Fogolar Furlan Club; General Manager Kingsville Golf & Curling Club, and First Tee Facilitator at Beach Grove & Sutton Creek golf clubs. He loved family, friends, entertaining, coaching, golf, dogs, Detroit Tigers, road trips, the lake, debating politics, camping, fishing, hunting, a good burger, a cold beer, and a solid scotch. Truly a good man who lived life with integrity. Visitation Sunday from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. & Monday December 1, 2014 at 10a.m. until a Memorial Service at 11a.m. at Gerald A. Smith Funeral Home 197 King St. W. Harrow. Interment at St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Amherstburg. Memorial donations may be made to the Grace on Earth or Transition to Betterness.
