Obituary of Joanne Quimby

72 years. July 5, 2011. Late of Kingsville formerly of Harrow. Beloved wife and best friend of Peter with whom she celebrated 51 years of marriage. Loving mother of David and friend Diane, Kingsville, Neil and Carol Anne, Toronto, Bryan and Theresa, Moncton, NB. Cherished grandmother of Jack, Rae, Emily, Kate and John. Beloved sister of Marcia and Larry Pollard, Harrow. Predeceased by her parents Ina (Laramie) and Earl Richardson. Dear sister-in-law of Robert and Carol Quimby, Amherstburg, Barbara and Ed Hooper, Windsor. Special aunt of several nieces and nephews. Joanne was a 1959 R.N. graduate of Grace Hospital. She was a past president of RCCO (Windsor branch) and was the organist at Church of the Epiphany in Kingsville. Her passion for music brought joy to us. Her kindness and caring will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Visitation at Gerald A. Smith Funeral Home 197 King St. W. Harrow Thursday 7-9 p.m. and Friday 2-5 & 7-9 p.m. A service to celebrate Joannes life will be held Saturday July 9, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Church of the Epiphany 96 Main St. W. Kingsville with Rev. Robert Lemon and Rev. David Steadman officiating. Interment Christ Church Cemetery, Colchester.
