Obituary of Glen Shepley

Passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on November 4, 2013 at the age of 86.Predeceased by his wife Helen (Deslippe) (1979). Longtime companion of Martina Smith. Loving father of the late Richard (1990) (Judy) Shepley, BC., Elaine (Gerald) McQuiggin, Cathy (Bruce) Woodiwiss, Sheila (Jack) Brush, Harrow, Eleanor (Dan) Rousseau, LaSalle, Mike (Marilyn) Shepley, Theresa Shepley (friend Dave), Harrow, John (Karen) Smith, Tecumseh, Art (Doreen) Moore, London and Jamie Smith, Kingsville. Loving grandpa of 16 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Son of the late Asa Shepley & Ruby Bailey. Dear brother of Maxine (late Sebastian) Greenham-Gardin, Asa (Marlene) Shepley, Merle (Harriet) Shepley, Lyle (Gail) Shepley, the late Claude (late Emily) Shepley, late Ken (late Virginia) Shepley, late Erwin (late Mina) Shepley, late Hazel (late Roger) Buhler, late Lorna (late Jack) Carter. Also remembered by many nieces and nephews. Glen retired from Chryslers and was a member of CAW Local 444 and the A.O.T.S. Men’s Club. Resting at Gerald A. Smith Funeral Home 197 King St. W. Harrow. Visitation on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m., Thursday 2-5 & 7-9 p.m. A service to celebrate Glen’s life will be held on Friday November 8, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Harrow United Church 45 Munger St. E. Harrow, with Rev. Frank Staples officiating. Interment Greenhill Cemetery, Kingsville. Memorials may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
