Dear Doug, Melody, John, Doug, Jenny and Melvie's grandchildren, Geordie, the kids and I are sorry for all of you. We saw Melvie often with Aunt Elsa and my Mom and will miss her very much. Even when I knew that she had had a difficult week she was always happy in spirit. She used to send me photos in the mail of my family and her grandchildren! They always seemed to come at the right time and always brightened my day. I will remember her thoughtfulness. Funny when my Dad got stubborn later in life Melvie could always bring out the best in him with her gentle ways. I thought about you all week and sadly couldn't come to Harrow because I started a new job on Tuesday but I look forward to seeing you soon. Love, Nancy

Dear Doug & family, Melvie was a sincere, thoughtful and caring person and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Even though our friendship was spawned from her friendship with our Aunt Lillian, it was cherished just the same. Melvie & Lillian enjoyed such special times together as best friends. We also looked to Melvie in times of need and she was always there for Lillian. We are convinced that because of Melvie and her caring, loving friendship, Lillian has enjoyed a long and memorable quality of life. For that all three of us will always be grateful. Our deepest sympathies. Stan & Bev Willson

Memories ~ the most profound memories I have of my Aunt Melvie - she had such a joy of life - sparkling eyes that smiled along with her mouth - when she would give a 'stern' look, as a young child, even I didn't believe that look! Everyone who knew her will miss her - she loved well and was well loved. 'Peace be with you'

Dear Melvie RIP-I know you are with your baby son now,I know you are with your mom and dad now and your brother.I know you are having a great reunion.Melvie and Doug moved to Harrow in 1968 and I moved here in 1968.I became acquainted with her about 1973 when she picked me up when I was walking to junior school for an assembly. That is when our friendship started as we began visiting back and forth after that.I met different ones through Melvie as she gained a host of friends.I always said she was a social butterfly and Harrow will never seem the same without her.Goodbye for now Melvie. Love Gail&Willy
