Obituary of Melva MacPhee

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Melvie on Saturday May 12, 2012. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by love. Melva Isabel Cecella MacPhee (Coutts) was born in Holstein, ON March 19, 1942, the youngest child of Rachel Isabel (Haas) and James A. Coutts. Devoted wife of 50 years to Douglas C. MacPhee. Wonderful mother of Melody Ann (John Elvidge), Durham, and twin sons Douglas James MacPhee (Jenny Lariviere), Dorchester and Donald John MacPhee (Born September 5, 1964 died September 6, 1964). Loving grandma of Mitchell, Kaitlyn, Kyle, Cassidy and Robert. Dear sister of Zelma, Mrs. Bruce Dobson, Carwen (1991), Alastair, Alwyn and Torrence Coutts. Aunt to many nieces and nephews. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Cremation has taken place. Visitation at Gerald A. Smith Funeral Home 197 King St. W. Harrow on Tuesday May 15, 2012 from 7-9 p.m. A service to celebrate Melvies life will be held on Wednesday May 16, 2012 where family and friends will meet at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment at Holstein Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made by cheque to Windsor Regional Cancer Centre, Transition to Betterness, Leamington District Memorial Hospital Foundation, Harrow Chamber of Commerce or the charity of your choice.
