Obituary of John Ellenberger

79 years. April 16, 2011. Passed away peacefully surrounded by family and his loving wife of 58 years, Helen (Fox). Loving father of Linda and Ron Johnson, Midland, MI, Heidi Sims, Gibraltar, MI, Sandra and Hugh Stewart, Calgary, AB, Michael and Kristina Ellenberger, Huntington Woods, MI. Loving grandfather of Patrick and Nancy Johnson, Stephen Johnson, Shelby Sims, Lindsay Stewart and Alex Stewart. Predeceased by his parents John (1986) and Katharina (Lotz) (2000) and his sister Katharina Ellenberger (1931). John retired from teaching for over 26 years at General Amherst High School. John was an associate member of the R.C.L.B. #338, Harrow, a life member and past president of the Harrow Rotary Club, John was a past president and chairman of Harrow & Colchester South Parks & Recreation and a past president of Harrow Kinsmen Club. Resting at Gerald A. Smith Funeral Home 197 King St. W. Harrow. Visitation on Monday April 18, 2011 from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A service to celebrate Johns life will be held on Tuesday April 19, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Greg Lutz and Pastor Art Schiemann officiating.
