Obituary of Francis Murphy
94 years. Passed away peacefully November 21, 2011. Late of Harrow, formerly of Windsor. Beloved husband of 63 years to the late Helen (LaPrise) (2008). Loving father of Maureen and Ron Perreault, Frances McKinnell, Mary Beth and John Charbonneau, Michael Murphy and Debbie Wilcox, Dennis and Cathy Murphy, Tim and Kerry Murphy. Loving grandpa of 19 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Dear brother-in-law of Rosemary and Barney Marentette, Marie LaPrise and the late Joe. Predeceased by his sisters Agnes, Mary and brothers Bill, Charlie and John. Frank retired in 1979 as a Superintendent with Canada Immigration in Windsor. Frank was a veteran of WWII and served with the RCAF Squadron 413 in South East Asia as a Flying officer-wireless-airgunner. He was a member of the choir at Assumption Church in Windsor for over 20 years where he was also a cantor and soloist. Since moving to Harrow Frank has been a reader and Eucharistic Minister at St. Anthonys Church. Resting at Gerald A. Smith Funeral Home 197 King St. W. Harrow. Visitation Thursday 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Parish prayers Thursday at 7:30 p.m. On Friday November 25, 2011 family and friends are invited to gather at St. Anthony of Padua Church 120 Munger St. W. Harrow at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Rick Janisse officiating. Interment at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
