SHEPLEY, Merle J.

80 years. Passed away peacefully with his loving family at his side on September 10, 2017. Late of Harrow. Beloved husband of Harriet (White) (nee Dixon) and the late Verna (Ruggles) (2001). Loving dad of Debbie and Michel Bastien, Robin and Garry Hall, Amherstburg, Tim and Jackie Shepley, Harrow. Loving papa of Joel and Christynne, Vickie, Dan and Laura, Meaghan and Rob, Amanda and Brandon. Loving great-grandpa of Jaidyn, Isabella, Harrison, Evy, Tucker and 3 soon to be. Also remembered by his stepchildren Gary and Julie White, Courtice, Wayne and Penny White, Staples, Deb and Glen Lamb, Wheatley and their children Ted and Rosin, Brian and Jen, Jennifer, Tyler, and Jenna. Dear brother of Maxine Greenham-Gardin, Amherstburg, Asa and Marlene Shepley, Essex, Lyle and Gail Shepley, Amherstburg. Predeceased by his sisters, Lorna Carter, Hazel Buhler and brothers Claude, Kenneth, Erwin and Glen Shepley. Merle retired from Chrysler Canada Transportation. He served as the kissing funeral assistant at Gerald A. Smith Funeral Home for many years. He was a member and past president of the Harrow-Malden A.O.T.S. Men's Club, past president of the Tri-County A.O.T.S. Men's Club. Visitation at Gerald A. Smith Funeral Home 197 King St. W. Harrow Thursday 2-5 & 7-9 p.m. A service to celebrate Merle's life will be held at Gerald A. Smith Funeral Home on Friday September 15, 2017 with visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Jon Forbes officiating. Interment at Colchester Memorial Cemetery. Memorial donations to be made to St. Andrew's Church.
