JARVIS, William Robert

Born November 15, 1927, Olney, England. Died peacefully March 6, 2018 at the age of 90. Late of Amherstburg. Predeceased by his wife Josephine (2010). Devoted father of Sarah, Amherstburg. He also leaves brother Roy (the late Sylvia) and his family and cousins in Britain, the United States, and Canada, as well as friends and colleagues around the world. Bill held a Ph.D. in plant pathology, and was a distinguished researcher and author. He was a dedicated volunteer in many service and cultural organizations. Sarah would like to thank family, friends, and hospital staff at Erie Shores Healthcare and Hospice for their care and compassion. Visitation at Gerald A. Smith Funeral Home, 197 King St. W., Harrow, Friday April 6 from 7-9 p.m. A memorial service to celebrate Bill’s life will be held on Saturday April 7, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at All Saints' Anglican Church, 330 City Hall Square, Windsor, with the Reverend Robert Clifford officiating. In lieu of flowers, a donation to Brescia Alumnae Reunion Award or Erie Shores Hospice Leamington or the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
