HEDGES, Edward Douglas

Passed away on March 21, 2019 at the age of 92. Beloved husband of the late Joyce (2016). Loving father of Rick (Helen) Hedges, late Dawna (2017) (Greg) Harrison, Chris (Betty) Hedges, Lorne Hedges (Sarah), Lisa (Brian) Palmer. Loving grandfather of Kimberley (Rick), the late Melanie, Jeffrey (Michelle), Derek (Tish), Lindsay (Pete), Brittany (Spencer), Cameron, Nate, Darcy, Mitchell, Cecilia and great grandchildren Blake and Dylan. Dear brother of Robert (Mary), James (Joyce), William (Gayle), late Charles (Joan), late Doris (late Marvin), Gladys (late Robert), Elsie (late Duane), Elaine (Earl), late Margaret (late Maurice) and late Florence (late Robert).  Edward was a member of the Harrow United Church, Harrow Fair Board, Essex County Steam & Gas Engine Club and was an avid collector of antiques. Edward retired from Chrysler Canada in 1980 with 30 years plus a day. Resting at Gerald A. Smith Funeral Home 197 King St. W. Harrow. Visitation on Sunday March 24, 2019 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A service to celebrate Edward’s life will be held on Monday March 25, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Harrow United Church 45 Munger St. E. Harrow, with Rev. Darrow Woods officiating. Cremation to follow.  Memorials may be made by cheque to Harrow United Church or charity of your choice.
